A Note from Tiye
About Tiyé (tee-yay)
I’m a multidisciplinary artist, arts program manager, and creative facilitator with a lifelong connection to making. My artistic practice spans collage, painting, fiber arts, paper-making, sculpture, book arts, and mixed media, with a particular love for transforming everyday materials into something unexpected.
Alongside my personal art practice, I’ve spent years designing and facilitating hands-on art workshops for diverse communities. I create welcoming, accessible experiences that make space for creativity without the pressure to be “good at art.” My workshops invite participants to slow down, experiment, connect with others, and enjoy the simple act of making.
From mindful collage and junk journaling to weaving, printmaking, mosaics, and painting, each workshop combines thoughtful creative instruction with opportunities for self-expression, connection, and play.
My goal is simple: to make art feel approachable, meaningful, and worth making.
